Two Out of Three Ain't Bad

That's two of three semesters down. Kind of. This is the semester of my Masters in Ed. Tech program that hinges on a Teacher Inquiry Project. I wrote a plan this summer to find out what effects a classroom blog would have on my grade 8 writing program--so there's my spring, after an autumn of reading what's already been done on or around the subject.
It used to be a research project, but teachers at DODDS (Dept. of Defense Dependant Schools) need about a year to receive authorization to do research at a DODDS school. So now it's inquiry with information gathering, instead of research with data.
Next summer is about using digital technology to compel. I'll be spending the other part of the year coming up with ideas for short films, and bits for The News (the weekly showcase of everything other than academics). If I get permission, I'll post some of the Class of 2007 films here.
It's 10:30 PM. I'm off to Waterstone's Books in about an hour to pick up C's copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I used to think I could dash down to pick it up and come back home for some sleep. Now I wonder if I'll get to the head of the line before our bus to Heathrow departs at 4 AM. Here's the survival plan for the bus ride, long wait at the airport (flights canceled or delayed due to flooding) and the flight to Chicago: when Z sleeps, I sleep. We shall see.
